Michela Valmori is a Professor of Languages at the University of Bologna and at a local high school. She currently lives in Italy with her family, but last year she was a Fulbright Visiting Distinguished Professor at the University of Notre Dame, in Indiana, where she taught a course on Italian American Culture and Literature. Her family has Italian American origins that’s why Michela decided to research, during her PhD, on the culture and literature of our national migrants. It was at the Nanovic Institute of the University of Notre Dame, where Michela was kindly hosted as Visiting Lecturer, that she could carry out thorough researches on her family and eventually was able to write her family memoir book, “Rosa”.
